He was happy to be engaged, and he told the media that his engagement gift to his future wife was an I Phone, which was useful for them because he intended to converse with her pretty often.
Karthi defended his choice by commenting that he preferred a girl who was not going to be in the film line, and he preferred being in a relationship with someone from a different background.
